Independent MP Zoe Daniel says the government has been “quite unusual” and “unexpected” but very positive of the input provided by members of the crossbench for Labor’s climate bill.
Ms Daniel said “several” of the amendments proposed by crossbenchers will make it into the legislation.
“There will be a note in this legislation that will explicitly say that 43 per cent does not limit future ambitions on our climate targets,” she said.
